Conference Preparation

In Uncategorized on April 26, 2012 at 10:52 am

OWFI is an annual conference that we attend each year in May in Oklahoma City. Conferences are an excellent opportunity for
writers. There are chances to learn and hone your skills in the craft, get to meet and share experiences with other writers, and share your work with others, including editors and agents. Conferences are the most cost-effective opportunity writers can take advantage of and should be carefully researched and selected for location, price, and content. All conferences are not created equal so you need to find the right one for you and your writing career. We began attending the OWFI Conference several years ago and enjoyed all it had to offer us as a group and as individuals. It met our criteria and needs.

Once you’ve found the best conference for your needs and enrolled, you’ll have a lot of preparation to do before attending. This topic marks the beginning of our Open Odyssey blog posts in which Novel Clique members will explore a select issue from different angles. For “conferences” we’ve written a series of posts on what to do before, during, and after attending.
