Novel Clique attended the Romantic Times Convention in Kansas City on day passes this year, (Cool idea if you ever have a HUGE convention come to your home town). It is BIG, and it was exciting to have it in our back yard. Located in the Sheraton at Crown Center, the venue was pleasing. You could tell the conference heads did their homework. There were desks and outlets everywhere, the perfect place for writers between sessions.

However, the big attraction was the famous authors in attendance, some there to teach, and some there just to mingle. Once that pulls you in, the sessions are well worth the cost of attending. From setting, to plot, to research and everything else, if you can imagine it, there was a session for it. We were motivated, inspired, and driven to return to our laptops and write. In the end, a good conference will do that for you. Renew you, re-energize you, and re-inform you, and this conference did all three.

This week on Novel Clique, we are celebrating our renewed passion with a blog chain. Setting is one of the many things discussed at RT, and every writer has some aspect of setting that is a joy or a heartache. On Thursday, we will all blog about a place we’d love to set a novel, but are too intimidated to do it. Well, up to now anyway… Click a name below visit our blogs.
